What Happens When I Get a Same-Day Crown?
Firstly, your dentist in Manning Valley Dental will assess your mouth and determine whether a crown is the best solution for you. It may be the case that another treatment, such as dental veneers, works better for your circumstances. Next, your dentist will prepare the tooth, ensuring that it is shaped in a way that will accommodate the crown. Then the dentist will use the CEREC technology to scan your tooth, and the equipment will start to generate your crown. At the end of your appointment, your dentist will then take this crown and bond it to the existing tooth.
How Long Do Crowns Last For?
Your crown is likely to last for approximately 10 years. However, with a proper care regime (as advised by your Manning Valley Dental expert), your crowns may last for decades.
